ARENA ist ein Digitalisierungsvorhaben des Multiprojektportfolios und hat vorrangig den Wechsel auf am Markt verfügbare Standardapplikationen für die Bereiche Kontoführung, Zahlungsverkehr und Online-Banking zum Ziel. Daneben strebt das Projekt auch den Fremdbezug von Application Management Services (AMS) an. Die Realisierungsphase des Projekts ist in zwei Abschnitte aufgeteilt: • Realisierungsabschnitt 1 (R1-Phase) – Durchführung des Vergabeverfahrens • Realisierungsabschnitt 2 (R2-Phase) – Zuschlag (Vertragsschluss), Umsetzung und Go-live Derzeit befindet sich das Projekt in der R2-Phase. In einem zweistufigen Vergabeverfahren (Verhandlungsverfahren mit Teilnahmewettbewerb) für die Software (Core Banking System – CBS) und ihren Betrieb in Form eines Application Management (Los 1) sowie die Integration in die Bundesbankumgebung (Los 2) wurde jeweils das wirtschaftlichste Angebot ermittelt. Der Zuschlag zu Los 1 wurde an SAP Fioneer erteilt. Auf Grundlage eines mit den Bietern verhandelten sowie mit zahlreichen Stakeholdern, basierend auf den verfügbaren Ressourcen und integrativen Abhängigkeiten, abgestimmten Zeitplans (Realisierungsplan) soll die Implementierung des Kernbankensystems (SAP) durchgeführt werden.
