Im Rahmen neuer infrastruktureller Maßnahmen planen die Stadtwerke München GmbH angesichts steigender Fahrgastzahlen eine umfassende bauliche und funktionale Neuausrichtung des Bahnhofs „Hauptbahnhof Oben“ (HO). Ziel der Maßnahme ist die Station rechtzeitig zukunftsfähig aufzustellen, indem betriebliche, funktionale und sicherheitstechnische Defizite auf allen Bauwerksebenen beseitigt und die Leistungsfähigkeit nachhaltig gesteigert wird. Die Maßnahme ist in sechs Planungsbereiche untergliedert: PB1 Ausweitung der Leistungsfähigkeit (Kapazitätserweiterung); PB2 Fahrradabstellanlage (FAA); PB3 Architektonische Neugestaltung; PB4 Sicherheitstechnische Optimierung; PB5 Modernisierung der technischen Gebäudeausstattung (TGA); PB6 Vermarktungsoffensive
