L'usine de Mathay appartient à Pays de Montbéliard Agglomération (PMA) et exploitée par la Société des Eaux du Pays de Montbéliard (SEPM), société dédiée de Veolia. Elle est composée de 3 files de traitement : - 2 files sur le site dit Mathay 1, chaque file disposant d'une capacité unitaire de production de 1250 m3/h, constituée d'une batterie de 8 filtres à sables alimentés par un unique décanteur Multiflow, - 1 file sur le site dit Mathay 2, d'une capacité de 1250 m3/h. Les travaux portent sur la réhabilitation de 12 filtres à sable des files 1 et 2 de Mathay 1. Sur le total de 16 filtres, les 4 autres ont déjà été réhabilités en 2023-2024
