Original TED description
The tender should lead to one Agreement for the purchase of a Vector Network Analyzer at the University of Twente. • In our RF-lab we test our RF integrated circuit designs, fabricated in industry. • For this we use a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA), among others. • Currently, we own a highly advanced 4 port 43.5GHz VNA. • This instrument is capable of measuring various parameters, such as Intermodulation Distortion (IMD), Gain Compression and Noise Figure. • This machine replaces a setup that would take 3 or more high-end standalone instruments. • It also reduces special external cabling, switches, combiners and the associated signal power losses. • Our VNA goes beyond a standalone VNA. It offers an integrated and flexible microwave test platform for active device characterization in a single box. • Our instrument has an obsolete status: the product is no longer supported in case it becomes defective. • This is one of the reasons why we want to purchase a new instrument with at least the same capabilities.
