Im Rahmen der fortwährenden Erhaltung des Fahrzeugparks ersetzt die Feuerwehr Langenthal im Jahr 2027 ihr bestehendes Tanklöschfahrzeug 2 mit Jahrgang 2001. Das neu zu beschaffende Fahrzeug soll bei vielfältigen Einsätzen der Feuerwehr in der Stadt Langenthal, in der Einwohnergemeinde Bleienbach und in der Region eingesetzt werden, sowie die Redundanz zum bestehenden Tanklöschfahrzeug 1 sicherstellen. Ziel ist es, ein Tanklöschfahrzeug neuster Generation zu beschaffen, welches bezüglich Technik, Ausladung, Nutzlast, Fahr- und Bediensicherheit sowie seiner materiellen Ausstattung das bisherige Fahrzeug ablöst und die Einsatzeffizienz und damit insgesamt den Einsatzwert steigert. Der Rückkauf des Tanklöschfahrzeuges 2 mit Jahrgang 2001 ist nicht Bestandteil der Ausschreibung.
