Hankinnan kohteena on Raaseporin kaupungin kaupunkiympäristötoimiala ja Raaseporin Veden pohjatutkimuksiin liittyvät asiantuntijapalvelut sekä kenttätutkimukset. Kohteet sijoittuvat eri puolille Raaseporin kaupunkia ja koostuvat useista erityyppisistä kohteista. Pääasiallisesti on kyse kaupunkiympäristötoimialan (kunnallistekniikka, maankäyttö, kiinteistöt) sekä Raaseporin Veden suunnittelua sekä toteumista tukevasta tiedon hankkimisesta. Tietoa hankitaan pääasiallisesi kaupungin omaan käyttöön, mutta toimeksiantoa voi tehdä myös tiedon hankkimiselle ulkopuolisen suunnittelijan tarpeisiin. Toimeksianto voi sisältää pohjatutkimuksia tai konsultointia, tai sitten näiden yhdistelmiä. Kilpailutukseen osallistuvat yritykset sijoitetaan järjestykseen sen mukaan, miten ne menestyvät valituissa hinta- ja laatukriteereissä. Toimittajiksi valitaan 2 yritystä.
