Die Forchbahn realisiert in Forch/Küsnacht den Doppelspurausbau zwischen der Haltestelle Neue Forch und dem Bahnhof Forch auf eine Länge von rund einem Kilometer. Für die talseitige Trassee-Erweiterung sind umfangreiche Stützbauwerke zu erstellen und Dammverbreiterungen zu schütten. Gleichzeitig wird das bestehende Trasse komplett erneuert und sowohl die Bahnstrom- als auch Sicherungs-Anlagen ersetzt und den neuen Verhältnissen angepasst. Begleitend dazu wird die Haltestelle Neue Forch und die dazugehörige Personenunterführung abgebrochen und entsprechend der gesetzlichen Vorgaben neu erstellt.
