Les câbles utilisés dans le réseau câblé des CFF présentent une qualité et des fonctionnalités bien définies. Ces caractéristiques spécifiques sont soigneusement examinées dans le cadre d’un processus de qualification. Les entreprises qui souhaitent fournir les CFF doivent soumettre leurs produits au processus de qualification et remplir les exigences requises. Ce processus garantit que les produits proposés répondent aux exigences techniques et qualitatives des CFF et que les soumissionnaires sont évalués d’une manière uniforme et équitable. La demande de qualification est possible à tout moment. Le système d’examen et la liste des entreprises qualifiées font l’objet d’une publication annuelle. Une fois obtenue, la qualification est valable cinq ans.
