De aanbestedende dienst nodigt u uit om in te schrijven op de Europese openbare aanbesteding voor het leveren van negentien (19) conventionele ruimvoertuigen ten behoeve van de Explosieven Opruimingsdienst Defensie (EODD). De Explosieve Opruimingsdienst Defensie (EODD) wordt ingezet als er binnen Nederland explosieven worden gevonden. Dit voertuig zal ingezet worden voor het ruimen van de zo genoemde “Conventionele Explosieven”. Dit houdt in explosieven waar aan de voorhand bekend is wat geruimd moet gaan worden. Denk hierbij aan munitie uit de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Hierdoor is de inzet van het voertuig zeer divers. Vanuit de standplaats in Soesterberg moet het voertuig zich snel kunnen verplaatsen door heel Nederland. De locatie van deze explosieven kan middenin een akker of een oefenterrein zijn of op andere plekken waar geen (on)verharde wegen heen leiden. Hierdoor moet het voertuig niet alleen snel zijn op de (openbare) (snel)wegen, maar ook terreinvaardig zijn. De voertuigen dienen te voldoen aan de specifieke eisen en operationele vereisten zoals opgenomen in de aanbestedingsstukken. Betrouwbaarheid, inzetbaarheid en veiligheid staan centraal, gezien de kritieke aard van de werkzaamheden van de EODD.
