Im öffentlichen Netz besteht zwischen dem 110/20-kV-Trafo und dem Netzanschlusspunkt des DyNaLab eine Resonanzstelle, die durch die ARUs der Umrichtersysteme am DyNaLab angeregt werden kann. Um dieses unerwünschte Verhalten bzw. die Resonanzstelle zu unterdrücken, soll ein Filter installiert werden, der die durch die Umrichter netzseitig erzeugten Oberschwingungen bzw. Harmonischen dämpft. Das zu beschaffende Filter wird an den Netzanschlusspunkt des Fraunhofer IWES am Standort DyNaLab gekoppelt. Im Jahr 2018 wurde bereits ein vergleichbares Filter zur Dämpfung harmonischer Oberwellen einer Netznachbildungsanlage installiert. Das Filterdesign muss ähnliche Komponenten verwenden, sodass unter anderem Widerstände und Kondensatoren zwischen den beiden Systemen austauschbar sind.
