Upphandlingen avser upprättandet av ett dynamiskt inköpssystem (DIS) för IT-konsulter inom IBM Maximo. Enligt ett regeringsdirektiv att arbeta mer systematiskt med det statliga underhållet av väg och järnväg så implementerar Trafikverket IBM Maximo, för majoriteten av Trafikverkets medel att bedriva de statliga underhållet på transportsystemet. Implementeringen bedrivs i projekt-form genom namnet GUS som står för Gemensamt Underhållsstöd och vi har användare som nyttjar systemet idag. Det är strategisk förflyttning för Trafikverket att verksamheter inom både Väg och Järnväg arbetar i samma system. Ytterligare en viktig effekt av införandet av IBM Maximo är mer ef-fektiv, korrekt och ändamålsenlig hantering av Trafikverkets anläggningsinformation. Trafikverket har behov av kompetenser inom IBM Maximo i roller inom systemutveckling, kravhantering, arkitektur och datasamordning, även av kunskap kring virutalisering och con-tainerteknik för att förvalta kommande uppgraderingar av IBM Maximo på Trafikverket.
