Die Hansestadt Lübeck beabsichtigt die Umgestaltung des Mühlentorplatzes. Der Mühlentorplatz dient als einer der Hauptknotenpunkte für die Verkehrsverteilung in Altstadtnähe. Den Kreisverkehrsplatz nutzen täglich ca. 25.000 Kfz und 8.000 Radfahrer. Der Knotenpunkt (KP) gilt als Unfallschwerpunkt. Mit der Baumaßnahme soll der Knotenpunkt auf eine regelkonforme Verkehrsführung umgebaut werden. Im Rahmen einer Vorplanung wurden verschiedene Varianten untersucht und als Vorzugslösung die Umgestaltung zu einem vollsignalisierten KP herausgearbeitet. Für die Vorzugslösung sind planerisch die Leitungsphasen (anteilig 1, 2), 3 bis 5, optional Lph. 6 bis 9 inkl. Planung der Lichtsignalanlage (einschl. LSA-Tiefbau) umzusetzen.
