Furthermore, the National Safety Camera Strategy published by the Department of Transport in April 2026 identified a partnership between the Authority, Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) and An Garda Síochána (AGS) as the preferred option for delivering camera enforcement going forward. To support the Authority in the performance of its work in the delivery of Action 6, and to fulfil its role within the National Safety Camera Strategy, the Authority proposes to engage the services of a suitably qualified and experienced Subject Matter Expert (the “Camera Enforcement SME”). The Service Provider may be an individual, company, partnership or consortium. The Service Provider will be expected to identify and nominate an individual to be the Camera Enforcement SME to undertake the role required by the Authority on a part-time basis. The contract duration will be for 4 years with a maximum contract value of€1,520,640.
