Es handelt sich um eine Bauleistung im direkten Umfeld des Kölner Doms, Hauptbahnhofs. Das Baufeld befindet sich in zentralster und beengter Innenstadtlage, mit höchsten Anforderungen, an die Baustellenlogistik (kleines und beengtes Baufeld), an die Emissionen (Berücksichtigung der Nutzer, Anlieger, dem öffentlichen und städtischen Interesse) Es handelt sich in wesentlichen Teilen um Bauen im und am Bestand. Zu den Rahmenbedingungen gehören überdurchschnittliche Schnittstellen zu den Anliegern, den Projektbeteiligten und den weiteren ausführenden Firmen. Unter anderem sind Schlosser- Metallbauarbeiten für die Gesamtmaßnahme auszuführen.
