Das Universitätsklinikum Regensburg beabsichtigt, einen neuen Rahmenvertrag für die Beschaffung von Microsoft-Softwarelizenzen auszuschreiben. Der bestehende Lieferant soll im Rahmen eines Wettbewerbs die Möglichkeit erhalten, sein Angebot zu bestätigen; gleichzeitig ist der Markt für alternative qualifizierte Anbieter zu öffnen. Ziel ist der Abschluss eines wirtschaftlich vorteilhaften, rechtssicheren und administrativ handhabbaren Rahmenvertrags, der die Kontinuität der Lizenzhistorie und die laufenden Software Assurance-Laufzeiten berücksichtigt.
