P+R Kralingse zoom is een parkeergelegenheid langs de A16, bestaande uit een parkeerplaats op maaiveld en een parkeergarage. Het doel van de parkeergelegenheid is om automobilisten te weren uit de binnenstad door het aanbieden van een parkeerplek aan de rand van de stad i.c.m. een goede OV-verbinding naar het centrum tegen een aantrekkelijk tarief. De huidige parkeergarage Kralingse zoom bestaat uit 7 verdiepingen, waarvan 2 kleinere vide verdiepingen en 5 volledige verdiepingen. Bij het ontwerp en de bouw van de parkeergarage (fase 1) is alvast rekening gehouden met een mogelijke verticale uitbreiding in de toekomst (fase 2). Deze Europese Niet-openbare aanbesteding handelt over de bovengenoemde fase 2: Het uitbreiden van / optoppen met 3 verdiepingen.
