#LOT-0001Deformable Optical Mirror

The subject of this tender is the procurement of a Deformable Mirror to integrate an adaptive optics system that replicates the existing system at the optical ground station of the Institute for Communication and Navigation in Oberpfaffenhofen. This system will integrate a turbulence emulator testbed which is a critical tool in the further development and improvement of the adaptive optics system in the original optical ground station. This demonstrator will allow for testing of new calibration methodologies, new predictive control algorithms and real-time control code, without incurring in any downtime of the optical ground station, which is under increasingly high-demand. Ultimately, this system will support improvements on the communication and quantum channels.
